Get to know the person behind KbWorks
KbWorks was founded in 2007 when Paul Keijzers decided to venture into the business world as a SharePoint expert. Paul has been a Microsoft MVP (Most Valuable Professional) since 2017 and has renewed this recognition ten times in a row. His areas of expertise include SharePoint, Teams, Copilot, and more, where he contributes as an advisor, architect, and developer.
Since then, KbWorks has helped more than 150 organizations, from private banks and international NGOs to fast growing companies, get more out of Microsoft 365 without losing control of it.
However, we don't achieve this alone...
KbWorks is deliberately small. You work directly with a Microsoft MVP, not with an account manager and a delivery team behind him. When a project needs more hands, I bring in specialists I have worked with for years.

The name KbWorks? What does that actually stand for?
It all started when Paul Keijzers spent quite a few hours on the Internet under the name “Kiteboarder” (Kb). Not just any name, because kitesurfing is his great passion. When he started is own business, the name Kiteboarder changed to KbWorks. ‘Kb’ went to work 😄
From the Netherlands, but living in Portugal? How so?
Our shared love for travel and adventure always hinted at a potential life abroad. However, the decision to permanently move was unexpected. Initially, our plan was to buy a second home in Portugal. But after spending 3 weeks there, we fell in love with the lifestyle and decided to stay. We left Amsterdam in 2022, and now we’re happily settled in southern Portugal, enjoying the tranquility, a life closer to nature, and almost daily sunshine.
Sooo, does KbWorks work remotely?
Most of the time, we work remotely. Depending on the client’s needs and the nature of the project, Sometimes Paul flies back to the Netherlands for our Dutch clients. However, our main goal is to work remotely, as we find it to be the most efficient way for everyone.
