This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 420932. [When this will happen:] General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out early-November 2024 and expect to complete by mid-November 2024. [How this will affect your organization:] Cloud update provides a modern update management solution for Microsoft 365 Apps. Use cloud update to address common servicing needs with features such as custom rollout waves, exclusion windows, pause, and rollback. Cloud update works for organizations of any size, handling compatibility concerns for larger environments and offering simpler controls for smaller businesses. Changes made to cloud update will be stored in Purview Audit, which allows you as an admin to search and review change history. These logs will be available to Purview Audit (Standard) users. Microsoft Outlook: Check-in to see who is working nearby in the officeCategory:Exchange Online Microsoft 365 appsNummer:MC925393Status:stayInformed | With this feature update, users will have the option to check-in for their planned in-office days to let others know they have arrived. To facilitate in-person connections, after check-in, users will be able to see their colleagues’ confirmations and planned in-office times. The check-in option does not appear if a user has not set their work location or has set it to ‘Remote’ or ‘Out of Office’.

Copilot Studio – Use application lifecycle managementCategory:Power PlatformNummer:MC925989Status:stayInformed | We are announcing the use application lifecycle management feature for Copilot Studio. This feature will enable makers to easily move plug-ins created in Microsoft Copilot Studio from one Power Platform environment to another using a solution. This feature is now generally available. How does this affect me? Plug-ins created in Copilot Studio will be automatically saved in a solution, making it easy for makers to move plug-ins across environments. When makers want to move to another environment, they can easily export the solution from the current environment and import the solution into the target environment from Copilot Studio. What do I need to do to prepare? This message is for awareness and no action is required. Microsoft 365 app: Auto release and check-in for Microsoft PlacesCategory:Microsoft TeamsNummer:MC925999Status:stayInformed | Coming soon for Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Places: New ways for users to check in to meeting rooms and prevent rooms from automatically releasing. After this rollout, customers will be able to check in through Teams Chat and email for all enabled rooms. The pre-rollout options to check in through Teams panels or Teams Rooms will continue. This message is related to MC922620 Microsoft Places app ON by default (October 2024) [When this will happen:] General Availability (Worldwide, GCC): We will begin rolling out mid-November 2024 and expect to complete by late November 2024. [How this will affect your organization:] Before this rollout, users are able to check in and auto-release rooms through these options:
After this rollout, check in and auto-release will need Teams panels on Teams app version 1449/1.0.97.2024061108 or higher. Users can choose from these three options to check in to a room:
Any rooms that currently have auto-release and check-in enabled through Teams panels will automatically receive these additional check-in options without any extra setup required. These features are on by default. Check in through Teams Panel:

This feature will allow you to replace the traditional natural language-based approach for topic triggering (using the trigger phrases you’ve defined in each topic). Instead, your copilot uses GPT to select one or more topics or actions to respond to a user’s query. How does this affect me? When enabled, generative actions orchestrates the conversations users have with your copilot, which can help provide users with a more natural and fluid conversation. All topics and actions have associated descriptions, which are the primary pieces of information utilized by your copilot when using GPT to select topics or actions to respond to the user’s query. Dynamics 365 Field Service – Configure Copilot summaries in Field ServiceCategory:Dynamics 365 AppsNummer:MC926015Status:stayInformed | We are announcing the configure Copilot summaries in Field Service feature for Dynamics 365 Field Service. This feature will provide admins with additional control over the specific data that is included in summaries. This feature will reach general availability on December 16, 2024. How does this affect me? Copilot in Dynamics 365 Field Service enables your admins to configure the Copilot summary of work orders and bookable resource bookings to better meet the specific business needs of your organization. Admins may choose which tables and columns Copilot uses to generate summaries in natural language.
