(Updated) Support Update for SharePoint Framework Field Customizers in Lists and Document LibrariesCategory:SharePoint OnlineNummer:MC1094051Status:planForChange | After a detailed internal evaluation and the feedback which we have heard from the ecosystem, we no longer have plans to retire the field customers from lists and libraries We are evaluating the retirement of the SharePoint Framework (SPFx) Field Customizers feature from SharePoint Lists and Document Libraries. In many cases, we recommend alternatives like using Column Formatters and disabling SPFx Field customizers. This would help with better performance with modern experience that is continuously updated. [When this will happen:] We are currently assessing the timelines and will update this post as plans progress. You can be assured that it will be communicated well in advance, with ample time to manage transition effectively. [How this affects your organization:] There is no impact to your organization as of now. In future depending on updated timelines, SharePoint Lists or Document Libraries with SPFx Field Customizers may get affected:
We recommend transitioning to Column Formatting for visual customizations where possible. For scenarios requiring third-party code execution, continue using Command Set Customizers or Application Customizers. How this affects your organization Surveys Agent enables users to create and manage surveys directly through chat in Microsoft 365 Copilot. It simplifies survey creation, distribution, and analysis, reducing time spent on manual tasks. Surveys are powered by Microsoft Forms and adhere to existing admin policies for the Forms service. This feature is off by default. Users can choose to install the agent from the Microsoft 365 Copilot Agent Store under the “Built by Microsoft” section. [Introduction] Agent in Viva Engage communities are now available in Public Preview. Community admins can add agents to communities to enhance knowledge sharing by drafting answers to questions without best or verified answers based on community content. [When this will happen:]
Figure i. Add agent to community The agent will proactively draft answers to unanswered questions using past conversations. By default, the agent posts answers automatically. Admins can configure whether the agent posts answers automatically or only after approval. Figure ii. Coming soon (General Availability): The agent will only use content that all community members can access. Admins must be owners of the SharePoint sites they wish to configure. Admins can add additional SharePoint sites to expand the agent’s grounding knowledge. The agent will be grounded by default on the community’s SharePoint site.
