| (Update) Updated SharePoint document library user experienceCategory:SharePoint OnlineNummer:MC1179157Status:stayInformed | Updated February 10, 2026: We have updated the timeline and content. Thank you for your patience. We’ve made an update to ensure that custom formatters also apply to the new components that we’ve introduced as part of this refresh. Now if you hide “new folder” from the command bar, for example, it will also be hidden from the breadcrumb dropdown menu. When space allows, we will now expand the breadcrumb to show more levels of folder hierarchy. We’ve also updated the command bar to show more commands when space is available. [Introduction] Microsoft is introducing a refreshed user experience for SharePoint document libraries to improve usability and navigation. These updates are based on customer feedback and aim to streamline common actions, enhance visibility of filters and views, and improve folder navigation—all without disrupting existing customizations. | Windows 11, version 26H1 coming to select new devices in early 2026 Category:WindowsNummer:MC1230371Status:stayInformed | Windows 11, version 26H1 is a hardware‑optimized release designed to enable next‑generation silicon developed in partnership with device manufacturers and silicon partners. This release will be available exclusively as a preinstalled experience on select new devices beginning in early 2026. It is not intended as a feature update for existing Windows 11 devices and will not be offered through Windows Update. When will this happen: The first devices with Windows 11, version 26H1 preinstalled will start shipping in early 2026. This release is limited to select new devices only and is not offered as an in‑place update for devices running Windows 11, versions 25H2 or 24H2. How this will affect your organization: Windows 11, version 26H1 is scoped specifically for select new hardware platforms, so it will not be offered through Windows Update for existing devices and will not impact ongoing rollout processes. Organizations evaluating specialized new hardware platforms may adopt version 26H1 selectively without affecting the rest of their environment. What you need to do to prepare: No preparation or changes are required for existing deployments. While Windows 11, version 26H1 is not intended for broad deployment across existing Windows 11 environments, organizations evaluating new hardware platforms may adopt it selectively without affecting their broader environment. Devices running Windows 11, versions 25H2 and 24H2 remain the recommended choice for enterprise deployment and continue to be supported according to established servicing timelines and Microsoft lifecycle policies. | Secure Boot certificate updates: actions required ahead of June 2026 expirationCategory:WindowsNummer:MC1230373Status:stayInformed | Secure Boot is a foundational Windows security feature that runs at startup, before Windows load, and helps ensure that only trusted, digitally signed software can execute. After more than 15 years of continuous service, the original Secure Boot certificates are reaching the end of their planned lifecycle and begin expiring in late June 2026. To learn more about Microsoft’s effort to update these certificates, see the blog post Refreshing the root of trust: industry collaboration on Secure Boot certificate updates. To prevent disruption and maintain secure startup across Windows environments, plan for these certificates update following the guidance in the Secure Boot playbook. | Plan for Change: Improving Intune reporting accuracyCategory:Microsoft IntuneNummer:MC1230448Status:planForChange | Expected in late February 2026, we are improving reporting accuracy in Intune by cleaning up stale device records. Devices that have not checked in for 12 months will be classified as inactive and excluded from reporting views. This update ensures that device counts and reporting metrics more accurately reflect your active, managed devices. [How this will affect your organization:] If there are devices that have been offline for more than 12 months, these devices will be removed from Intune reports. You may notice a decrease in the total device count shown in reporting views such as the policy and setting status Summary reports. This reduction is expected and reflects a more accurate and current representation of active devices. Active devices that regularly check in are not affected by this change. [What you need to do to prepare:] No action is required; only awareness. If you expect a device to appear in reports, ensure it checks in. To initiate a check‑in, power on the device, connect to the network, and start a sync or Company Portal check‑in as applicable. |
