This transition marks a significant step towards a more robust, feature-rich, and secure email experience for all users. The latest version of Outlook for Mac has been part of the Microsoft 365 suite for the last four years. More than 95% of Microsoft 365 users have already moved from legacy Outlook for Mac to the new version. Learn more about the new features and benefits in our Outlook Blog and Release Notes. [How this will affect your organization:] You are receiving this message because our reporting indicates your organization may be using legacy Outlook for Mac. We do not have access to the list of users, but we might be able to provide a list of device IDs if your tenant allows legacy Outlook to upload telemetry. Users will no longer be able to switch back to legacy Outlook for Mac after this change is implemented. Microsoft Purview | Data Connectors – Microsoft partner data connectors for T-Mobile and HKCSLCategory:Microsoft 365 suite Microsoft PurviewNummer:MC994283Status:planForChange | TeleMessage data connectors for T-Mobile and Hong Kong CSL (HKCSL) mobile networks will soon be available. These connectors will allow organizations to import and archive SMS and MMS data from the respective mobile networks to the Microsoft 365 environment. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 477365. [When this will happen:]. General Availability (Worldwide, GCC): We will begin rolling out early February 2025 and expect to complete by late February 2025. [How this will affect your organization:] Once SMS and MMS messages for the users are successfully stored in user mailboxes, admins can apply Microsoft 365 Purview features such as Litigation Hold, Content Search, and Microsoft 365 retention policies to T-Mobile and HKCSL network data. Third-party applications and services might involve storing, transmitting, and processing your organization’s customer data on third-party systems that are outside of the Microsoft 365 infrastructure and, therefore, aren’t covered by the Microsoft Purview and data protection commitments. Microsoft makes no representation that use of this product to connect to third-party applications implies that those third-party applications are Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) compliant. This new feature is available by default. Admins can work with Microsoft Partner TeleMessage to set up these connectors. Microsoft Teams: Microsoft PowerShell cmdlet to allow federation with specific trial tenant domainsCategory:Microsoft TeamsNummer:MC994289Status:planForChange | Coming soon: We will introduce a new Microsoft Teams PowerShell setting in Tenant Federation Configuration to enable you to customize your federation posture. Tenant administrators will be able to define a list of external trial tenants to be whitelisted for federation, while maintaining the default block on overall federation with trial-only tenants. [When this will happen:] General Availability (Worldwide): The new setting is available now in Teams PowerShell. If populated, the allowed trial tenant domains list will start to take effect in mid-February 2025. Note: This feature requires no immediate admin action, and there will be no impact if the list is not populated. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint on the web: Improved home pagesCategory:Microsoft 365 for the webNummer:MC994290Status:stayInformed | We are excited to announce that users will soon be redirected to new streamlined and efficient home pages for Microsoft Word for the web, Microsoft Excel for the web, and Microsoft PowerPoint for the web (WXP). The new home pages are available now at: [When this will happen:] Targeted Release: We will begin rolling out in late February 2025 and expect to complete in mid-March 2025. General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out mid-March 2025 and expect to complete by late April 2025. [How this will affect your organization] During the rollout, some users will be taken to the new WXP homepages. The WXP entry points being changed are the Microsoft 365 app launcher, the Microsoft 365 AppBar, and the Microsoft 365 Apps page. The new homepages are offered in 39 languages with additional languages arriving in the coming months. The previous Microsoft 365 launch pages for WXP for the web will continue to be available at the existing URLs until after the rollout is complete.
