Plan for Change: Upcoming changes for deploying Windows Autopilot for existing devicesCategory:Microsoft IntuneNummer:MC807794Status:planForChange | We are updated the Windows Autopilot enrollment experience, starting September 5, 2024. Note that some customers received MC772891, describing this change but with a date of July 5. We are now extending the timeline until September 5, 2024. This change will prevent new device enrollments via the ‘Windows Autopilot deployment for existing devices’ feature, when organizational enrollment restrictions blocking personal device enrollment are configured. [How does this affect me] You can continue to use Windows Autopilot for existing devices functionality with personal enrollment restrictions until September 5, 2024; however, we encourage your organization to upgrade devices with older operating systems to Windows 10 or 11 and register them through Windows Autopilot to avoid any impact resulting from this change. To continue using Autopilot for existing devices with enrollment restrictions blocking personal devices, register all devices for Autopilot or upload the Windows corporate identifiers. For more information regarding the Windows Autopilot device registration process, please see the documentation: Windows Autopilot registration overview. This is in line with the behavior of other automatic MDM enrollment methods where we cannot verify the device identity. [What action do I need to take] Move to using corporate identifiers by September 5, 2024. If you cannot make enrollment changes, please refer to this blog post: https://aka.ms/Autopilot_7_2_update_blogpost for additional information and use the form linked in the blog to request extension. |

This means you will be able to access all Purview solutions in one single portal, as well as experiences such as settings, global search, recommendations, and roles and permissions management. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 383017. [When this will happen:] General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out late July 2024 and expect to complete by mid-September 2024. [How this will affect your organization:] Before the rollout, admins need to use two portals to access data governance, data security, and risk and compliance solutions. After this rollout You will be automatically redirected to the new Purview portal (purview.microsoft.com) from the classic Purview compliance portal. In the new Microsoft Purview portal, you will be able to access all Purview solutions in one single portal with all existing features as well as new experiences such as centralized settings experience, global search, a new home page with tailored recommendations, and more. You can continue to use the Compliance portal if you choose to use the toggle to return to Classic Purview. By end of 2024, we will retire the Microsoft Purview compliance portal and transition to the new Microsoft Purview portal. The new portal will be on by default and accessible to all users with appropriate permissions:
[What you need to do to prepare:] After the rollout, please expect being automatically redirected to the new Purview portal. You can still toggle off the new Purview portal and use the classic Purview compliance portal from the toggle on the top shell bar of the portal. There is nothing in particular you have to prepare at this time. Please familiarize yourself with the new Microsoft Purview portal since the classic Purview compliance portal will be retired by the end of 2024. You may want to notify your admins about this change and update any relevant documentation as appropriate. |
Microsoft SharePoint: New page range setting for prebuilt and structured models in Microsoft SyntexCategory:SharePoint OnlineNummer:MC807801Status:stayInformed | Coming soon to Microsoft Syntex (SharePoint Premium) pay-as-you-go services: To process larger files with several pages, select prebuilt (contract, invoice, and receipt), structured, and freeform models will now have a page range setting where you can specify the pages to be processed. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 398960. [When this will happen:] General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out mid-July 2024 and expect to complete by early August 2024. [How this will affect your organization:] Before this rollout: All file pages are processed, and users have no way to specify which ones. After this rollout: Users will be able to set a page range from the Model settings panel:
For prebuilt models, users can set the page range when selecting detected extractors and adjust the range as needed:
The page range is also displayed in the model details screen for applied models:
By default, the page range setting is empty, so all pages will be processed. If set for an active model, the model will need to be reapplied to the library for the change to take effect. [What you need to do to prepare:] This rollout will happen automatically by the specified date with no admin action required before the rollout. You may want to notify your users about this change and update any relevant documentation as appropriate. |
