Before this rollout, users are not able to use the Take control feature in Teams on the web.

Coming soon to Microsoft Purview | Insider Risk Management: Two new preconfigured quick policy templates for Crown jewel protection and Email exfiltration. These templates are for admins who want to deploy scenario-specific policy templates with less configuration, to get started faster. The existing quick policies for Data leak and Data theft will continue to be available. You can find all four scenario-based quick policies in Insider Risk Management at Policies > Create Policies. Admins can expect additional turning after deploying these policies to meet individual alert volume needs.

Public Preview: We will begin rolling out late November 2024 and expect to complete by mid-December 2024.

General Availability (Worldwide, GCC, GCC High, DoD): We will begin rolling out early February 2025 and expect to complete by late March 2025.

[How this will affect your organization:]

1. Sign in to Insider Risk Management with the admin role permissions
2. Go to the Policies page at https://purview.microsoft.com/insiderriskmgmt/policiespage
3. Select Create policy
4. Select Quick policies
5. Select either the Crown jewel protection policy or the Email exfiltration policy
6. Configure policy as applicable (add users to scope, optional priority content, and so on)

The new policies will be on by default.

We are pleased to announce the general availability of data export for Microsoft Viva Glint and Microsoft Viva Insights within the Microsoft Advanced Insights application. Analysts can now use the existing Glint and organizational insights Power BI template to run queries, and, with this new functionality, results can be downloaded as a CSV file. The existing feature allows users to view results as an embedded Power BI.

Please note that CSV downloads will only be available for surveys with raw data export enabled by the Glint admin during the survey setup. For more details, please see this information about confidentiality.

[How will this affect your organization:]

Analysts will have the ability to download the query results from the Glint and organizational insights Power BI template for surveys that have raw data export enabled by the Glint admin at the time of the survey setup. Learn more here.

• Review and assess the impact of sending survey data from Viva Glint to Viva Insights for your organization. Learn more: Integrate Viva Glint and Viva Insights to maximize data insight.
• Consider reviewing with your works council and updating your training and documentation as appropriate.

The Facilitator is a new agent in Microsoft 365. This agent works within Teams meetings and chats for more effective collaboration. This new agent is available in public preview and customers are required to have a Microsoft 365 Copilot license to access the public preview.

• In meetings, the Facilitator generates real-time AI notes and suggested tasks during your meetings, allowing everyone to co-author and collaborate seamlessly.
• In chats, Facilitator maintains an up-to-date summary of important information as the conversation happens, including key decisions, actions items, and open questions to resolve.

[How this will affect your organization:]

Facilitator will only be available to users that have app permission policy for Microsoft apps set to “Allow all apps”. The Facilitator App will become available soon for Admins to see and manage in Teams admin center. Users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license can enable the AI notes in meetings and group chats. Meetings scheduled through Teams will have an option to turn on ‘AI-generated notes’ in the meeting scheduling form. AI Notes are auto enabled for newly created group chats with the option to remove upon chat creation or any time thereafter.

For meetings where Facilitator is enabled, real time AI-generated notes and tasks will be added to the meeting notes page and show up in recap under the Notes tab. Participants with intelligent recap access will also see the post-meeting AI generated content in the AI Summary tab (previously labeled AI notes).

For chats, AI notes can be accessed via an entry point in the chat header.

Facilitator app will be turned on by default unless all apps are blocked by your organization. However, as an admin, you control whether Facilitator will be available to your entire organization or to a certain group of users. Known Limitations:

• External users cannot access AI-generated notes
• Meetings
  • Mobile users cannot enable ‘AI-generated notes’ but can view and consume
  • Unlicensed users can turn off ‘AI-generated notes’ but cannot turn on
• Chats
  • Users that are not participating in Private preview cannot access the ‘AI notes’ pane in chats, but can remove Facilitator
  • If Facilitator is added to a chat, it cannot be removed on mobile clients; users should use desktop or web to remove Facilitator from chats
