We encourage users to switch to the new Outlook for Windows, and update to the newest versions of Outlook on iOS, Android, and Mac. Our ongoing development efforts and advanced security measures will be focused on these updated platforms. Starting in mid-August, for Outlook on the web and Outlook.com:
[When this will happen:] For Outlook iOS, Android, Mac and Windows Mail and Calendar Application, we’ll be gradually rolling this out to customers in mid-July 2024, and the roll out will be completed by late September 2024. For Outlook on the web, we’ll be gradually rolling this out to customers in mid-August 2024, and the roll out will be completed by late October 2024. [How this will affect your organization:] Once this change has rolled out legacy Outlook clients will no longer be supported. For Outlook iOS, Android, Mac and Windows Mail and Calendar Application, users will no longer be able to send or receive new emails when this change is applied. For Outlook on the web, IsOptimizedForAccessibility parameter will no longer be supported in Set-CASMailbox Cmdlet for Exchange Online User. Outlook on the Web latest supports all the accessibility features. We will no longer redirect to OWA light via this configuration. If users are still on the older browsers, they will see an error page. [What you need to do to prepare:] We recommend you upgrade your clients from legacy Outlook clients to the latest version of Outlook clients for the latest features and security protections. In Viva Insights, leaders are defined as users who have been assigned the group manager role and who have at least 4 direct and indirect reports or as defined by their admin. Employee engagement with leadership communications report We will release a new out-of-the-box report on employee engagement with leadership communication. This report helps leaders understand the reach of their communications in their organization, and their employees’ engagement with the leaders’ emails, meetings, and shared files to better understand the effectiveness of different modes of communication. Pulse survey as a recommendation actionLeaders can now send a Viva Pulse survey from leader reports to quickly gather employee sentiment feedback. A leader can take these Pulse-related actions:

Microsoft Purview | Insider Risk Management: Adaptive Protection + Conditional Access will be GACategory:Microsoft PurviewNummer:MC802699Status:stayInformed | Adaptive Protection integrated with Microsoft Entra ID Conditional Access will soon be generally available in Microsoft Purview | Insider Risk Management. The integration will allow organizations to set up policies to enforce Conditional Access actions (such as blocks) on users with insider risk levels in Adaptive Protection. For example, a Conditional Access policy with an Insider Risk Condition can block elevated risk users from all Microsoft 365 applications while allowing minor risk users to continue to access company resources. With this rollout, we will also change the default Insider Risk Conditional Access policy to block elevated risk users from all Microsoft 365 applications instead of all applications. Organizations will need an Entra ID P2 license to use Adaptive Protection integrated with Conditional Access policies. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 388737. [When this will happen:] Public Preview: We began rolling out in March 2024 and completed by early June 2024. General Availability (Worldwide): We will begin rolling out early July 2024 and expect to complete by early August 2024. [How this will affect your organization:] Before this rollout: Adaptive Protection integrated with Purview DLP was not generally available. After this rollout, you will be able to set up or view Conditional Access policies with the Insider Risk Condition in Purview > Insider risk management > Adaptive Protection:
If you configured the default Insider Risk Conditional Access policy during the Public Preview, your policy will remain unchanged. The default state of this feature is off. Microsoft Teams: Users will now be notified when their admin unblocks a requested appCategory:Microsoft TeamsNummer:MC802703Status:planForChange | In 2022, we introduced the ability for users to request apps to be unblocked from the App Store for Microsoft Teams. We notified admins about this request in Teams Admin Center. This update enabled an easier form of admin-user communication, wherein admins are notified about the apps that their users require to be more productive on Teams. We are improving this experience by introducing notifications for end users when their admin enables an app. Users can immediately install these requested apps and start engaging with them on Teams. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 389151 [When this will happen:] Targeted Release: We will begin rolling out early July 2024 and expect to complete by mid-July 2024. General Availability: We will begin rolling out mid-July 2024 and expect to complete by late July 2024. This feature provides a reliable solution for UI and browser automation actions. With this feature, users can set up a fallback mechanism for UI automation actions in case the UI element cannot be found through the set selector(s). How does this affect me? Users can improve their automation processes and reduce the risk of errors and delays caused by missing UI elements. Users can enable this feature on an action level. What do I need to do to prepare?
